Pd door devotes its name to the meticulously designed “P” and “d” profiled panels. The rationale behind this design is to maintain the thickness of panels as that of one throughout the whole operation process. The “P” panel, also known as the sliding panel, can be slide to the frame to extend to the width of a full opening. It can also be slide to the “d” panel to half the size of the opening, and allows the “d” panel to swing open.

This operation method is known as the slide and swing (SS) system and possesses the smallest swing area in the market. In an area of a meter square and an opening of 800mm, the swing area required is only 12.56% that of conventional doors. With the smallest swing area, the movement required to operate Pd door is very small and user friendly. All it requires is one slight single hand motion. At the first leg position, users will be able to operate the door without having to move with the door. This is a significant standard achieved by Pd door.
